Roles and Responsibilities: The Membership Chairperson will have the following responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of payroll deductions of dues.
- Forward state and national dues and membership records to proper authorities.
- Maintain an accurate record of members and payment of dues in local, state, and national associations.
- Attend monthly Executive Board meetings and Representative Assemblies.
- Establish familiarity with iMIDAS (Interactive Membership Informational Data Analysis System) in order to review and update WEAC's membership data.
- Notify members of their responsibility regarding payment of dues.
- Facilitate the distribution of new membership signup cards at the beginning of each school year so that new members can be signed up by September 30.
- When appropriate, submit monthly newsletter articles by the Monday following the RA.
- Carry out his/her duties as specified in Constitution and Bylaws.
- Provides the elections committee and building representatives with membership rosters/electorate verifications each March.
The President will appoint the role of Membership Chairperson for a term of three years.
