Over the past 33 years, Anita Wobst has served teachers as staff assistant for the WAWMEA as well as West Suburban Council.
Anita modestly refers to herself as a "jack of all trades", but unlike the old saying, she is master of many jobs. She does research for bargaining; readies handouts for meetings and mailings, files contracts; sets and arranges for meetings, including food; photocopies reports, minutes and newsletters; transcribes dictation and works through any special requests.
Answering phones and emails is one of the most important aspects of her work. She is often the first person contacted when teachers are looking for help. Anyone who calls Anita will get directed to just the right person. She listens to concerns and knows who to transfer the call to. |
